Having the right support is critical when going through a divorce. Finding the right assistance with your finances can make all the difference as you navigate the most trying time of your life, and I highly encourage anyone going through divorce to find a reliable, supportive financial planner.
Tip #12: Consult a financial planner or divorce financial analyst
I cannot emphasize this enough, not because I am a financial planner with a CPA, but because I know I can help you. I can make this devastating, tumultuous time in your life a bit easier. I can walk with you and be someone you can lean on, count on, and who will also hold you accountable. It doesn’t make you weak or incompetent. On the contrary, it shows strength to reach out and get help when you need it, get direction when your world is turned upside down, and get clarity so you can become your best self. I promise that even though this is a messy transition, it is possible to wipe the slate clean, get a fresh start, reset your future goals, and lay out a plan for the next chapter of your life.
This was what happened to me. I did it with the help of my support system. If I can do it, you can do it, too. And I would love to be the one to educate, guide, and partner with you on your journey to becoming your best self. I would love to be part of your support system. If not me, then find someone you are comfortable with who has these credentials.
Pursuing Your Best Self
In my book, Unforeseen Exit: When You Find Yourself Facing Divorce & Suddenly Single, I tell my story of navigating an unforeseen divorce. By openly telling my story, I want to provide guidance and support to those who have found themselves in similar circumstances, so they can pursue their best self personally and financially!
