My Professional Skills
I am a Financial Planner, CPA, and BFATM with an entrepreneurial background and a passion for helping people achieve their financial objectives. As a licensed Registered Representative and CPA, I bring a tax-efficient approach to my clients’ financial circumstances. And as a small business owner, I recognize the value of innovative approaches to financial freedom. My entrepreneurial spirit and decades of accounting experience have formed my philosophy of providing my clients with insight and advice to make informed decisions and help them create a secure future.
My Background
I obtained my BS Degree in Accounting from Florida State University in 1988. I then worked for Arthur Andersen until I took a position as a financial analyst at McDonald’s Corporation’s Regional Accounting Center in Clearwater, Florida. I ultimately became Regional Accounting Supervisor and was then promoted to Assistant Controller in the Atlanta office.
When my three boys were young, I spent a few years at home to devote my time and energy to their early development. When those initial demands settled, I was looking for a way to fulfill my passions and return to the workforce. I wanted an opportunity that would allow me to help people and make a difference in their lives. In working with my financial professional at the time, I realized financial planning would allow me to expand on my strengths and qualifications to meet the challenge of a new career.
In 2011, I formed Keli Hazel & Associates, LLC, and joined Money Concepts because of their broad nonproprietary financial products. As my company grew, so did my desire to pursue the best ways to serve my clients.
Then, I became affiliated with the U.S. Planning Group in 2019 to continue moving my company forward. I remained independent, with no proprietary products or services to promote and no quotas to fill.
In 2022, I entered into a partnership with Denise Sowell and we joined Capitol Financial Solutions due to their client-focused philosophy and internal advisor support. We came together as two female advisors based in McDonough, Georgia with a similar mission of commitment, values, and faith to provide quality guidance for our clients. Capitol Financial Solutions' strong culture and resources will help our office to reach the next stage in its growth, while delivering even more efficient service and remaining independent financial advisors.
My ultimate goal is to create a financial strategy personalized and tailored to your needs. I look forward to working with you soon!
